HAD OUTGROWN HIS STRENGTH.
Such is the sad condition of many children on arriving at maturity. In the early clays ofgrowth the foundation is not properly laid with' nourishment especially designed to give healthy flesh, solid bones, and vitality, and the result is that the body outgrows its strength, and is consequently exposed to ill-health, and disease. If we start a baby right in- life the child will be vigorous and healthy, and, if we are careful about the nourishment of the growing child we will pave the way for a healthy manhood and womanhood.
Let us consider the letter of Mrs Armstrong, whose son at 18 years, as that lady writes, had " outgrown his strength." The question naturally arises: 'What did Mrs Armstrong do to'overcome this weakened condition of the system? She tells what she did in her letter, whicli is interesting to every parent.
" I am pleased to inform you of the remarkable good done by Scott's Emulsion of .cod-liver oil to my son, a youth of 18 years. About 10 months ago he began to grow thin and emaciated, and was so weak as to occasion me very grave alarm. I obtained medical advice, and the doctor said he had outgrown his strength and was in a very debilitated state. Scott's Emulsion was ordered for him by the doctor, and ho took it regularly until a month ago, by which time be had so much 'benefited as to render its further use unnecessary. He gained over 261b in weight during the eight months while taking it, and is to-day a picture of rosy-cheeked health and plumpness, and better in general health and appearance than at any previous period of his life. He is quite strong now, and the truly remarkable benefit Scott's Emulsion has been to him is a source of pleasuro to all of us, to whom his health was a source of care and anxiety.—Faithfully yours (signed), Mrs FLORENCE ARMSTRONG. Commercial road. Prahran, Melbourne, Victoria, June 17, 1397." —16
