On Sunday night an attempt to. burn down the Wade Agricultural Hall was frustrated. The fire ; was discovered in the back part of the hall. The. burning material proved to be. straw saturated with kerosene. The floor of the, platform and part of the _ walls inside were similarly treated. The fire was extinguished. The Governor of the Society Islands, M. Gallet, left for Sydney by the Waihpra.
