SPORTS;

A committee meeting of the Otago Cycling. Club, was held at the clubroom last night, Mr J.%i'Dohald in the 'chair. AJarge amount of : business, was transacted, ; A - record number of entries':has been received- for the sports meeting on Saturday next.. The various subcommittees reported on the arrangements "for the meeting being well forward. Several now members were elected. - r Mr T. A. "Will forwarded his resignation as a; member of committee, which, was received. with regret. Mr F. Townserid was elected in his place.: It was also'decided 'to entertain the, visitors at atrip on the s.s. Onslow to Poftobollo. It was decided' to give • competitors .and ■trainers an admission ticket on.Eriday. evening at the :clubrooms on-application to. the secretary.- Single "pacing is .to be provided for in the championship race, which should be well worth seenig.'therentries comprising the best men known in'the j;cycling arena, in New Zealand.
