FATALTTY AT THE TEAM STABLES.
A'man named Edward'L. Jones, single, and aged about 35 years, fell from a ladder Jead-, • ing to a loft in the City Tramway Company's stables in Cumberland*'strict. on Saturday 10th hist.; and sustained injuries to his head." He was taken to the Hospital, and died there a little after 9 o'clock on Sunday morniiig.Jones was a sailor, but had-not been at work for Some time; One o^ the employees in the stables,had given him permission to lie down ' inHhe loft. He was seen coming down tho ■ ladder by ono of the men, but was not:heard ; to fall,1 and a few minutes afterwards he was / found on-tho floor of tho stables quite helpless. It is supposed that he slipped and fell; striking his head against the briqk wall of thi •• stables.
