ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH.
The annual report of the Deacons' Court of St. Andrew's Church, which has been circulated amongst the congregation, states that the court desire to congratulate the congregation On the satisfactory state of the finances, and to express its thankfulness for the support given to the various funds. The ordinary collections showed an increase s>» compared with last year of £31 16s .Id,- and were thehighest for many years past. It was pleasing to note as an evidence that the church showed its practical interest in the Christian work carried on outside of its own sphere, that it had been able to help such work to the extent of £I*7 19s sd, including the amount contributed to miseions by the Sabbath School. The response to the collection for foreigii missions was very gratifying, resulting in a sum of £30 16s being received (which is the largest amount contributed for many years). The sustentation fund showed a marked increase as compared with last year, so that the congregation was in tho position of an aid-givins congregation to the extent of some £25. A special appeal was being made this year to fittingly celebrate the Jubilee of the Otago Presbyterian Church by the raising of a jubilee fund for church extension and other purposes. An endeavour would be made to give every one in the congregation an ■ opportunity of contributing to this fund, to which a number of church member 9 had already promised a very liberal support.
