M. D. Maurice applied for a license to occupy Run 199E, Tevio'o district, up to the end of February next.—A-license was granted under section 116 of the act from September 1 next to February 28, 1899, at a rental of.4d per acre; the run to bo opened to the public before March 1. ■ ' ■ An application' by Geo. Consideration o£ an application by John Keane for 20 acres in block X, Leaning Rock district, on tlie occupation with right to purchase system, was deferred. An application by Win. R. Tillick to., be allowed to exchange a deferred payment license over section 8, block XIV, Blackstone district, for a lease in perpetuity was approved. Margaret Tuban wrote requesting the board to rescind a resolution granting an exchange of a deferred payment lease for a lease in perpetuity in respect to section 8 blook XIII, Benger district. —It wna decided to allow the matter to stand over in the meantime. . • An application by Agnes Balneaves to be allowed to surrender seotion 9, block 111, Dart district, was referred to the.ranger to. report, , Elizabeth Emerson .applied to be allowed to surrender section 19, block VIII, Maerewhenua district.—Reoommended for the approval of the Minister. Applications for occupation leases by Emma Gibbons Bell and Mary E. Bell—Bo acroa each/upon run 236 d, block XII, Tarras dia-tiict—-were declined. ■ ' ! i Emily T. Ewing applied for.an occupation lease over part of section 9, blook IV, Lower i Wanaka district.—A lease was granted at a 1 rental of 6d per aore; subject to survey; money to be deposited. An application by Nathaniel Gordon to be allowed to transfer section 10, block-1, Maniototo district, to David Taylor Forrester was approved.
