POLLARD'S OPERA COMPANY.

This ever-popular combination, after a most successful northern tour, will return next week, and will^ renew acquaintance with a local audience on Saturday next. The extensive alterations and improvements which the theatre is undergoing will be completed by then, and Mr Pollard and his clever company will haye the pleasure of opening what will be practically a newtheatre. In order to show playgoers the. vast difference that extra stage room makes to a spectacular production, Mr Pollard has decided on. opening with the gorgeous spectacular extravaganza "Djin-Djin." This piece was withdravyn during the last season here in the height of its popularity, and as it will be seen to much greater, advantage this time no better opening piece could be selected. In order to make the production worthy of the occasion Mr Pollard will, at con-, siderable expense, have the electric light installed in both auditorium and statte. As "Djin-T)iin"' was originally produced with marvellous electric, effects, their addition this time will be an attraction in themselves.
