J. Smyth—to ba notified at 12b 6d per i acre,; section 8, block IV, Tautuku district, recently held by Mr Charles Harding—to ba notified at 153 per acre; section 3(5, block X, Glenomaru diatricc, recently held by Mr It. 3. Miller—to be notified at 12< 6d per acre, with £U' valuation ; section 8, block VI, Woodland district, recently held !>y Mr L.-Downes —to be notified at 12s 6d per acre ; section 8, block VI, Woodland district, recently held by Mr R. Teankraki.—Ranger Atkinson reported upon the improvements upon sections 15 and 16, block XII, Tsaneraki settlement, lately held by Mr C. DarraKh. —The board resolved that no further action bs.taken for two months. Xautuku. —An application by MrR. M'Nab for leave to purchase an area of la 2r 32p, being section 31, block XI, Tautuku. district, as a site for a dairy factory ia connection with the Heathfield - and Waipati settlements was considered.—lc was agreed, subject to to the approval of the Governor, to allow the applicant to acquire the area as a site for a dairy factory, under clauee 115 of the act, at a capital j value of £2 per acre, with survey fees, the board ' being of opinion that the erection of a dairy factory was absolutely necessary to give .the settlers in the district a chance of succeasful occupation of their holdings. Tuapeka.—An application, was received from Mrs M. A. Henry for leave to transfer to Mr Robert George Cotton 18,540 acres of run No. 494, Tuapeka, retaining for herself 3700 acres, formerly known as run No. 2, Tuapeka.—The board decided to recommend, subject to the approval of the Governor, that the run be divided as asksd for, Mrs Henry's vent to be.£23 per annum and Mr Cotfon'a £112. . ; . Gordon respecting sections 4 and 6, block 111, Maruwenua I district (Maruwenua estate), lately held by Mrs Gordon aod himself, was read, and tha resolution i agreeiug to accept surrender of the sections was rescinded, thelessees having paid up all arrears. Applications to Transfer.—An application for a transfer of the leasain perpetuity of section 102, biockll, Oamaru.district (Ardgowanestate), from J. G. Deanison to T. K. Dennison was approved, subject to the Minister's approval; An application1 to transfer the perpetual lease of section 22, block IV, Swinburn district, from John Pearson to J. H. Crutchley was referred to the ranger to report; and an application to transfer small grazing Run 224h, Blackstene district,,from Allan Dunsmuir to 'Alfred Day Priw was approved. 1 Applications to kurrenusr.—The following i applications for leave to surrender ioases in perj petuity were referred to the rangers fov reports :— Wilfred Smith, section 1, block VI, Woodland I district; Alex Wilkins, section 40, block V 111,., ' Orookston; P. Momona. —The Secretary of the Education I Board applied to have section 4i, Momona estate, \ set aside as a site for a school, and it was agreed to recommend the Government to set asida the section for the purpose stated, and to notify the present licensee that his license would not be renewed. Puketapo.—Ranger Atkinson forwarded a valuation pf improvements on sections Strand 11a, Puketapu estate, recently surrendered By-Henry and Robert Fletcher.—lt was agreed that the sections.' ba grouped and reopened, with £80 7s valuation for improvement?. ' KiWAßAU.l—Ranger Mackenzie reported upon an application by Mrs Miscall for a^lease iv perpetuity over an area of 55 acre3—block 111, Kawarau district. —It was agreed to allow the applicant to acquire, the area on lease in perpetuity at a capital value of 108 an acre. Kinlocii.—Consideration of an application by Mr J. T. W. Paulin (forwarded by Ranger Mackenzie) for a bush license over 20 acres at Kinloch was deferred. . . ,
