' (Received May 13, at 9 a.m.) The American Prizs Court at Key West has condemned the capture of- the Spanish steamer Baoca Ventura, and ordered her release. (Received May 13, at 11.5 a.m.) The American Prizo Court have ordered the release of the Spanish steamer Miguel Jo?er, captured off Havana. Tho cruiser Charleston, taking a supply of ammunition lio Admiral Dewey's squadron, has sailed for Havana. General Morritb, who goes as Comraander- . in-chief of tba American army for the occupation of i he Philippines, takes a first instalment of 1500 troops. The first transports to be employed are the steamers Australia and City of Pekia, whilst the City of Sydney sails nest week. BOMBARDMENT OP SAN JUAN. ' THE TOWN'SURRENDERS. Washington, May 13. ; . (Received May 14, at 0.50 a.m.) Captain Sampson with nine wsrabips bombarded the San Juan fotts, Porto Rico. Reports from Port au Prioca state that Uie lowa fired the first shot and tho Indiana followed. The Morro fort was laid in ruins within a. few minutes. A slight response was made by the batteries to the American fire. The town of San Joan then surrendered. The consuls and several thousand residents tied to the iaterior. The crnnier Yale captured the Spanish ateamer Rita. Admiral Dewey telegraphs that he still maintains the blockade of Manila. The American naval authorities are convinced: the report about the C&pe Verde squadron being at Cadiz is inacenrato.
