'In the matter of "The Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act,. 3894," and of all , Acts enabling tho Council of the Borough of Roslyn in that behalf. ■NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a MEETING of the COUNOIL of the BOROUGH of ROSLYN will be held on MONDAY, the 23rd day of May. 1898, to CONFIRM a SPECIAL RKSOLUTION operating as a Special Order making a By-law, called "By-law No, 25" ("Nlaushterhousas and Sale of Meat By-law"), adopteci at a Special Meeting of the said Council held on the 15th day of April, 1898, such By-law to come into force on the 27th day of JUNE, 1898; and it is notified that the Object and Purport, of the said By-law is hereinafter set forth, and that a Copy thereof is deposited and may be seen at the Borough-Council Hall,. Roslyn, during office hours. The Object and Purport of the said proposed By-law, made by the said Special Order, is to provide for the following matters- that is to say : 1. Interpretation. 2. Duties of Inspector. (a.) To. examine all animals slaughtered. (b) To see that order is preserved in Slaughterhouses.' ! (<•) To report breaches of Regulation!, tc, to ! Council. , | 3. The Council empowered to make Regulations. 4. Power to Inspector to cut and divide carcases for inspection. 22. Diseased animals to be slaughtered and disposed of as Inspector directs. 23. Calvej under 21 days old not to be deemed fit for human food. 21. Blown meat condemned. 25. Carcases to be removed within 48 hours. 26 Carts used for carrying away meat to be clean. 27. Persons eugaged in loading meat to wear clean clothes. 28.
