THE EXHIBITION.

The Jubilee Industrial Exhibition continues to afford an attractive and popular' means of public entertainmaat. Although tha weather on Saturday was cojd, and heavy rain fell frequently, there was a fair attendance in the afternoon and a numerous gathering in the evening. The exhibits s*nd side shows are highly interesting, and quite a number of visits are necessary to enable one to realise how much ef interest is arranged within "the exhibition area. On Saturday the new stairway leading from the exhibition direct to the Art Gallery was opened. This will prove a great convenience to visitors, who will now be able to .reach the gallery without going through the large hall and, as was often unavoidable, crushing past tho people who were entering the building.

The entertainment given in the evening passed ofl fairly well, though it was attended by a smaller audienca than usual. The gymnastic display was quite up to the average of such perform r.nces, as wzs also the juggling and the contortion act, and Captain Sutton'a burlesque "Wild West" excited a good deal of amusement. This evening the attraction will be Northcofe's Kinenmtograpb. The psogcamms of moving pictures includes soms of the. best and most effective views exhibited in the colony, and one of them, " Faust up to Date," is said to ba the most expensive kinematographic picture that has bsen Bhown spufih of the line. Oo this oceaeiou the front seita will ba a shilling extra, but, »3 formerly, admission to the exhibition also includes admission to tha entertainment.
