THE JUBILEE EXHIBITION.
Yesterday was au oS day at the exhibition, and the attendance daring-the day wag therefore not so large as usual. Now, however, that the courts are not so crowded those who attend ara m a better position to carefully examine and sidmire the various ' artioles 'on exhibition. ' ..■-.. ■AnothSt excellent concert programme was submitted at the exhibition last evening for the delectation of a numerous audience. Signora Venosta'* name was placed against two items on the programme—viz., " A May morning " (Deuza) and ""Within a mile of Edinboro? Toon"—and it ia scarcely necessary to; add' that these were rendered with such' skill and; effect that they were received with the mo«t flattering demonstrafcions^of approval Mr J. M'Donald, a vocalist new to Dunedin, crea.tea a very good impression by his rendering of two numbers. iHe possesses a voice of good quality, and sings in a style which proved that he has studied the vocal art to some purpose; The orchestra, rendered tome excelleat music, while the allegorical dances arranged by Signor Bprzoni were, also gone through. • . This evening the St. Orme French Novelty Company will give -another ■ performance, I weisted by the " Three Black Diamonds." The i performance will conclude with the burlesque ' o£ the" Wild West." • i
