Bicycle, Hose, and Hydrant.—Hastings, lmia - 43|sec, 1; Christehurch City, lmin 56isec, 2; Waiapa (No. 2), lmin 58gsec, 3. Alarm And. Disabled :Hosb; five men. — ChristchurchGity, lmin 0 4-ssec, 1; Hawera, lrniu 4 3-58<ic, 2;A«hburton, lmin 4 4-ssec, 3. Hose and Hydrant Ladder ; five inen.-^Wan-gaoui 1, New Plymouth 2, Timaru 3. Time, 44Jsec. New Plymouth and Timaru tie&for second place, and in the run off they also tied.. Finally New Plymouth were successful in the smart time of 43sec.
The Tim am Brigade win the shield presented by" the Brigades' Association for the hydrant event. . The association's shield for manual events was won by Ashburfcon. Timaru secured Shand, Mason, and Co.'a shield for highest points in all competitions.
