London, February 25. (Received February 26, at 1.30 p.m.) The parliamentary election to fill the vacancy in the Cricklake division of Wiltshire, caused by Professor Hopkinson accepting the principalship of Owen's College, Manchester, resulted in the return of. Lord Edmund Fitzmaurice (Liberal) by & majority of 489 over Viscount Emlyn (Conservative). [At the general election in 1895 Professor I Hopkinson (Unionist) defeated Lord Fitzmaurice by a majority of 99 votes.] 9'
