These cattle will come into competition with the best bulls that can be purchased in Britain. It goes without saying therefore, that this shipment will be keenly criticised, and if, as is confidently antics pated, our New Zealand-bred animals compare fr*om Urt ahJ y lT lth l\ e much higber-priced bulls from the old country, there will be a market cheated for our breeders ; and none too soon for it must regretfully be admitted that of late years the breeding of stud cattle has TWt,^ , ruit>ou? bunness in- this colony.
