PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

The regular monthly meeting of the Peninsula Road Board, held at the board's office, Highcliff, on ' Saturday, was attended by Messrs Stuart (chairman), Fairbairn, M'Ourdy, Kowe, and Murray. Mr Landreth applied personally to have a portion of the Highcliff road widened.—The surfaceman was instructed to attend to the work. The Secretaries of the Benevolent Institution and the Hp.-pital Trustees wrote asking the board to appoint delegates to represent the board at the annual meeting to he held ou the 6th December next. —Mr William Wills was appointed delegate. Mr John Brown's letter re road at Sandymount was received. Mr M'Cartney wrote offering to connect the road at Hooper's Inlet. —It was decided to accept Mr M'Cavtney's offer according to agreement. The collector was instructed to sue for all outstanding rates at once. Accounts amounting to £50 19a 7d were .passed for payment.
