DR PAREKR'S FUNERAL.
The funeral bf the late Dr Thomas Jeffrey I Parker, Professor of 'Biology-at' the Otugo University, tqok place at Warrington yesterday, a large. nutnbci; of the deceased's friends going out by train from Danediu to attend the funeral. Mr Juatics Williams, teing in WwlliiK'tonon buainess at the Court of Appeal at.d ArbifcravioQ Court, ww« unable to be preset, bun a telegram was received from him expressing his deep sorrow at hewing of tlie death of Dr Parker, and regretting that he could not attend the funeral. Shortly after the arrival of the train at Warrington a service was held in the church, the Key. Caudn Richards sul.sequehtly officiating »tth>< i grave, where Miss Parker (aster of Dr Parker) and a number of other ladies were present. Ac the close of the service at the grave those present san» the hymn "Brief life is here our portion." The c"ffi» w.ib covered with a great numbßt of' wreaths sent.>.s tokens of sympathy by numerous private friends of Dr Parker, and also by the Otago Institute and the Otigo Cycling Club^ _______
