Details of the loss of . f-j.ur mori iKnuthe steamer Woolloomooloo in the last homeward run shows that the fatality was oaused by a tidal wave, which struck the vessel on a smooth sea two days , after . passing the meridian of Cape Leuwin. B\vo passengers and-the sennn'.n v/ere on deck, when saddenly a wave fully 50ft high arose and made for the vessel'with the velocity of a projsctile. It struck her with a report like the discharge of artillery. Toe vessel heeled ovsr 33 degrees, and three seamen and one passenger, the lat.ter named Clark; ware washed away. Tbe remaining passengers on dack, though overwhelmed by water, and severely injured,'' managed to remain on the vessel's deck.. • ■ •

The Boilermakers' Erecative has determiued to suspend the London Committee owing to tbe refusal'of its members to return, to work when ordered by the union.
