WOMEN'S WORK. TO THE EDITOR.
Sih —Knowing so wall the power of the press in all' matters of reform, I beg to draw your attention to a very grave want here, and 1 trust and bslieve you will wield your pen in remedying such a want-namely, the establishment of some home for the troubled ones of our city. I am a comparative stranger here, but from whab I know there is great need for such a home. The Salvation Army appears to me .o be bearing all the burden, which is really too bad. They cannot bs expected to take in all cases ; in fact, I do not think they can do so, accordiog to the rules laid down for them. Surely id a city of churche? like this, whose members sre supposed to be followers of Hun whose hand was always first held out to the erring one, something might be done. Hoping taese tew words may have the desired effect;, and that you in your kinduess will farther that object*— *Du'nediD, September 7. . A Wobker.
