THE CROPS IN IRELAND.
A GLOOMY REPORT. Press Aigociation—By Telegraph—Copyright. London, September 4. Mr Spaighr, a Government inspector, has furnished a report on the potato crops in the mountain districts of Ireland. He states that the potatoes are ruined, and that the corn and hay crops are also rotting. He expacts one of the worst winters since 1847.
