A summoned meeting of the Linden Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was held ou Wednesday evening at the Oddfellows' Hall, Roalyn, the business being the election of a secretary to fill the place of Bro. Higgins, who had been elevated to the position of .Grand Master. There was & good attendance of members." Jf.G. Bro. Lionel Wilson was proposed for the position of secretary by P.G. Bro. W. Smith, neconded by P.G. Bro. Ovens, and eieeted unanimously. »Bro Wil«on was also eieeted cecreUry of the Hall Committee. J.P.G, B fo . L. K^mni'z was proposed by P Q. Bro. Lawry occupied the chair. One new member was initiated. After the usual business N.G. Bro. The weekly masting of the Hope of Duuedin Lodge wa3 held en Wednesday evening in the Oddfellows' Hall, Rattray street, and was well attended by members and visitors from other lodges, including some from Mnagial. Correspondence w&a received from tae District Lodge and Otago Prohibition Council re the convention to be held at Eaafc-r. In consequence of threa other lodges in the district meeting on Wednesday evmiiugs, ib was resolved f.hat Vha Hope of Danedin Lodge,! being the youi'geit, should change its-night of'meeting to Friday, the next meeting to be held on tho 2nd April. The question of forming'a choir in connection with tho order wns deoidea, an>) left in the hands of the delegates to complete the artangemfents. It was decided to form a committee at next meeting to arrange for th« auniversary of the'lodge- on the 28^1 May. The following contributed to the harmony :—Bros. Sandemsn, Newall, and M'Kinlay, and Sitttr Stonebridgi. Votes of thank<i to the visitors were responded to by Broa. M'Kinlay (Lily of the Valley), Newall (D.iyspring), Thomsnn (Star of-Free-dom), and GhiMiolm (Pioneer). Ona candidate was proposed for membership. Next meeting being brothers' night, the firo^rimtne wa< arrauged, and promises to be a, successful i\ff*:r. It was resolved that au official visit be oaid to the Break of Day Lodge nexb Werlnrsday.
