THE STEVENSON MEMORIAL.

TO THE KDITOU. Sib, —Will you give ma space to say that the Steveuson Committee is not undertaking any systematic canvassing in connection with the memorial movement, and therefore that those who wish to share in the tribute to Steve nson must not wait till they are asksd for «abs criptions. M&ijy who are not able to give much may yet desire to share in the movement to honour Stevenson as a writer or as a distinguished son of Edinburgh. The greater the number of persoas that share in the tribnte, the mote valuable it becomes as an evidence of sympathy. Mr Sawell will be glad to receive any spontaneous contribution — from a cheque to a, postage stamp.—l »m, &c, A. Wilson, President of the Stevenson Committee. Danedin, March 16.
