(re-elected) ; 1 Bro. ~W. Kane, D.X. The otaoers -were 5 impressively installed by P.O.P. Bro. James j Smith. It was resolved—"That the name of ' P.D.P. Bro. W. Kane be placed on the merit i board, and that he be presented with a P.D.P. s collar." • The usual fortmjjhtly session of ths Star of i Freedom Lodge, No. 5, 1.0. G.T., was held in ! the 1.0.0-F. Hall, Roslyn, on Wednesday j avening, Bro. R. \7ilkinsou, C.T., occupied the ( chair. There waa & very large attendance of J zaembers and visitors. Two candidates were 5 prouosed for membership. The C.T. and V.T. I appointed a committee to iuterview tha candi- ; dates and instruct them in constitution, rules, j and usages of the order. Official visits were I received from tne Lily of the Valley and Dayj spring Ledges. Visitors were also present from ; tea Hope; of Caversham and Pioneer Lodges. f 'When the usual routine bu3iuess was concluded, i the various articles (largely of an eatable I nature) contributed by members were subj rnitted to Bruce auction, the result being a subt stautial coutnbutioa to the incidental fund of ■ the lodge. Au invitation was received from the 5 Anchor o? Hope Lodge, Slosgiel, iuviting tUe j S'i^r of Freedom Lodge to visit their lodge ) officially. It was decided to visit the Anchor of I Hope Lodge ou Thursday evening, the 25th inst. j Upwards of 30 members signified their intenj tion of taking part in the visit. A committee ! was then appointed to arrange re drags to 1 convey tub members to Moagiel. The L.D. j Bro. J. W. ParkinsoD, D.D.G.C.T., submitted a ! capital programme for the term, whiyh the I lodge decided to adept. After a short recess ! the lodge went into harmony, Bios. J. D. I Scoullar, S.J.T.D.E.S., Connolly (encored), 5 M'Kinlay, "Wilkinson, and Nevall, Sis. ! M'lndoe, Barns, and the V.T. contributing. \ A humorous address by Bro. Merry v?as much \ appreciated.
