GOLF.
The members of the Dunedin GolE Ciub.met at their links st Maori Hill on Satnrday last, to hold their annual competition for the president's St. Andrew's Cross; The weather waa ! most propitious for golfing, and a gentle breeze j regulated the temperature to a pleasant degree. A good muster rallied for and seemed to enjoy the game, which was completed in two and a-half hours. Tha lady members of the club ] dispanted afternoon tea in the club cottage, and i this'was much xpprecinted by the players. Mr ,W. C. MacGregor's gross Bcora was the best of the day, but his net score was equalled by Me O. ; Dickson, with Mr A. Todd a close third. Scores:— ' '■ " ■' • -•■■■■ Groap; Hop. Net.. W. C.
