The »nnu»l general meeting of tho North Dunediu Presbyterian ChUrch wtts held on Wednesdni' evening in'the. Hove, street HdUi the Rev. I. K. M'tntyre presiding, bwifig to the state of the we&ther the attendance was smaller than uaual. Tho various reports were submitted to the congregation and adopted unanimously. The Commifctee.oE Management, recognising, what an incubus the present debt on tho hall is, have no it risen to the occasion, and tbeir motto for the future will be " Debt extinction " instead of " Debt deduction." Tho communion roll shows an increase of two from lasli year, ieaving 302 on the roll, and, considering that such a large number have been struck off, this must be considered very satisfactory. The Sabbath echool, with an efficieint staff of teachers, numbers 340. In connection with this £44 was collected foe missions and £36 for geiieral purpoebs. The Bible class is flourishing, the average attendance being 59, with 70 on the roll. Tho Band of. Hope, conducted in the hall on Friday evenings during tho winter mouths, has just concluded an excellent session. The literary society has been reiuecitated this winter, and in addition to the ordinary work several interesting lectures were delivered by friends of the sooiety. The church slso.boasts of a free library, which is well p».ttonise.d by tho young people at th. north end. Altogether the church shows Bigns of prosperity which ?.re encouraging to all connected with it. Affc»various votes of thanks to the heads of the several departments the meoting closed with the benediction.
