THE NEW ZEALAND TOUR.
Stone v, September 4,
The Herald ssyo that; 'I ir. would certainly be a mistake if the cliifarence between the Criolret Council and this Australian team ended in a ruptute. There dr.es not appear to be any reason why there -ihould ba such a result, nor does it seem that the manager of the teati entered into any agreement not to visit Now Zealand and Tasmania. Apart from these considerations, ii*. is ouJy reasonable that Now Zealand .ijiculd desire to witness the prowess cf the Aust:-■ liana. Moreover, ifc is in theintereits of cricliefc that au impcrfcant colony lika Na-7 Zealand should be kept wall in touch aud sympathy with tha cricketing world of Australia."
