THE ALBANY AND UNION STREET SOHOOLS.
TO THB KDITOE.
j Sir, —I was mucb surprised, (o read in the report of the Education Board's meeting in your yesterday's i».M:e it remark by Mr J. F. M. Fraser in which i>« in plbused to staU the position of t: e undoubtedly popular Albany street Srti'.'..l t.s follows:—" The position was this: 1n A 1 uny street there was a pushing teacher, who was, he supposed, not too scrupulous where he drew his scholars from." I thiuk this 'remark muat have been passed bj Mr Fraser without daeeon*ideratioß, and unlesa he has just grounds for saying what he did, he certainly, in fairness to Mr Fergueon, ought to withdraw his statement. With regard to tha latter portion of his remark, while thinking this also uncalled for, I will let the Union street Committee fijjht its own battle. I maj say that I do not intend to enter into further correspondence on this subject, and hoping that Mr Fruser will see his way to withdraw what he said in regard to the head master of the Albsny street SoUoo!,—I am, Asc., H. W. Wait, S.eretary Alb»ny street School Committee. Danedio, March 20
