FOOTBALL.
PACIFIC CLUB,
The annual meeting of the Pifliflc Football Clab was held in the Railway Hotel, South Duaedin, on Wednesday night, about 40 members being present. The report and balance sheet were read and adopted. Tha report stated that the team, through a variety of causes, the principal being the best players leaving aud joining. senior chib6, were not so successful last .year as they have been in previous years. Judging from the number of young players who enrolled themselves on Wednesday uight under cho black and white banner, thefuture prosuecisof theclub arebrigtit, aud the, season of 1896 should once again see tha Panific in the front rauk for Junior Flag. The following office bearers were elected unanimously :— President, J. M. Gall&way; vicepresidents— Meiers R. G. Whetter, John Blaney, F. Hancoc'f, J. S. Capsttclc, John Ogg, A. Mandeu, P. Brady ten., A. Morrison, (i. Reid, R. Alexander, aud E Hsmblotou; hon. secret tary, Mr O. Miicill; treianret, Jamea Wbelan.; Management Committee — Messrs A. Kyle, Botting, J. Whdan, T. Qilchrist, M. O'Couuor, W. Butler, S. Hambleton ; delegate to 0.R.P.U., Mr J. Jack.
