The result of a meeting of the directors of the Talisman Company to consider an offer received for the purchase of ihe company's p'rope'rsy has not been allowed to tranipive. '. : It is nuderstood everything is proceeding satisrsctorily in connection with the flotation of the Day Queen Coinpaay, and that finality may be looked for in a few days.
Mr Spencer Hampsdni who is it present in Liverpool in connection with the floating of the' Pride of Tokatea mine on. that market, has forwarded the following cable:—"l have arranged for immediate flotation. Capital, £100,000. The Pride of Tokatea shareholders receive £40,008 worth of interest, as much as possible in cash. Arljoinini; claim of 30 seres, called. Oriona, is to receive £500 cash. .Working capital, £20,000.". This is understood to fcieah that the IMde of Tokatea [shareholders will receive £2000 cash; equal^ to 6d par share t,f 35.000 shares paid up to £L This will give one paid-up share for every two held in the original company. ;
