The direct steamer Rimutaka will leave Wellington for Plymouth, via Monte Video, on Thursday, 19th March. Mails close here as under:—
For United Kingdom and foreign countries, Ac. on Tuesday, 17th, at 10.30 a.m. Parcels mails for the above steamer will close at 9.30 a.m.
Letters for the above mail must be specially addressed.
Due in London on May 1. Wednesday, March 18. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE.
For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, United State* of America, Canada, South America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, ai 10 a.m. Money orders at 9.15 a.m. en Wednesday, 18th. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. oa Tuesday, 17th.' ■ - ,
Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on •Wednesday, 18th. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate ef postage (2_d) as a late fee, can be posted in the mail van, attached to the north expreis leaving Dunedin railway station, at 11 a.m. on the 18th.
The above mail will close at the branch post offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin—for money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 17th, letters at 9.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 18th. At the Port Chalmers office at 8.45 a.m. on the 18th; money orders at 4 p.m. and registered letters at 6 p.m. on the 17th.
The above mail will be due in London on the £2nd April.
Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji will do.c at Auckland to-day, Uth March, at 4 pjn. Mails for Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands leave Sydney on the 12th March.
