•'SERVANTS' REGISTRY OFFICE ACT, ' 1893." Mr Carew, S.M., yesterday gave the following judgment on tho application by Miss Jane Cameron for a certificate ih order to obtain a license under the above act: —" I consider the opposition shown by the inspector to this application to be. well founded, for thera can be little doubt she does not intend to carry on a business independent of persons who, I think, ib io very undesirable should have any control. There is nothing that I know of against the applicant, but the certificate that I am asked for is to state that I believe her to be a fib and proprr person to keep a registry office. - Considering the influence Bhe would be under, I am not able to give such a certificate."
