Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. A VIOLENT STORM. : ' • Melboukne, January 28. A violent storm was experienced at Prentice Freehold, in the Rntherglen district. The Presbyterian Church was completelydemolished. The Miners' Recreation -Hail and a namber of draeilisg houses were unroofed, and many others damaged. Trees were uprooted in all directions. At Great Northern Hamilton's stores were wrecked, and several boarding establishments destroyed. A miner named M'Kenna was severely injured by falling debris, and numerous narrow escapes are reported. The storm lasted a very short time, and was con- i fined to a narrow track. < '
