DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.

Weekly Report. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :— There was only a moderate entry of horses for our weekly sale on Saturday. The demand was anything but brisk, either for draught or light harness horses, although a few of the latter were sold at prices decidedly in favour of buyers. Tho sales that were made were chiefly of medium to low-priced hacks and spring-cart horses, but there were buyers present for good sorts of the latter. We also offered a splendid pair of well-matched carriage mares, but the bidding not reaching the vendor's idea of value they were passed in, and are now for private sale. We. quote: Heavy draughts, four to six years, £22 to £27; do, eight to ten'years, £15 to £20; light and small do, £S to £12; aged and inferior do. £4 to £7 ; upstanding springcart, horses, young and sound, £12 to £16; wellbred upstanding hacks and harness horses, £16 to £20; upstanding hacks and harness horses, £10 to £14; aged and inferior, £2 to.£s.
