CITIZENS' BAND CARNIVAL.

The first rehearsal of the Citizens' Band Operatio Carnival was held on Friday night under the direction of Signor Borzoni. About 170 ladies and gentlemen were present, and the rehearsal was a pronounced success. The spectacle that Signor Borzoni intends producing is entitled "A Night iu-Rome," and will ba something entirely novel and different fiom any of the preceding carnivals.' The dances consist of a grand valse and a study in light and flowers, to be danced by the" whole 170 performers ; also a polka biillante. entitled "1 Pagliaoci " (" Ths Mountebanks "), danced by 60 children; and a " Neapolitan Tarantella," to be danced by 24; of the children. One of the most attractive numbers will undoubtedly be the "Spanish Bolero," danced by Miss Katie Bland aud Master Bert Scobie, two dancers'wbo made suoh a success at the. last carnival with their "Pas a deux." The last dance ia a gavotte, danced by four little girls—Misses Alice M'Nair, Minnie Paterson, • Jennie Gray, and Gertie Bland. All these dances will have the advantage of a large and excellent orchestra to accompany them, the orchestra beiDg under the direction of Signor .gquaflse. R.C.M.T. With "The Battle of Sedan." a descriptive selection by Signor Squarisu, this carnival ought to be one of the most si tractive ever htld here, and worthy of the public support:
