Discharged 121 men, 5S women, and (J .children;—total, 185; leaving on 3lst December JS33,I!)S men, 59 women, and 4 children ;—total, 23). ! ' Thirty-five deaths occurred during the year. I Tho exi;ensoß of the institution amounted to [ £3953 lls lOd. The expenses for maintenance amounted to i'SSB Ss (M, an increase on tho previous ■ year of £7ti 143 3d. The charges sm for cost of food, clothing, fuel, house furnishings, salaries of master, matron, [servants, and doctor, medicine, ftiaeraln, iriumcipul rates, and ail working fxpunsey. except sccrutary's and inspector's salary, oflico rent, and ttitionery.
