Dhunkennkss—One first offinder was convicted and discharged, and Annie Pilet, against whom there were 11 previous convictions, aud who came under the habitui-.l clause of the act, was sentenced to a month's imprisonment. I_.L-THivATi.-G a I-loiisi-.—Alfred Gore pleaded guilty to cruelly ill-treating a home at South Dunedin —S-ieeant O'Neiil stated that defendant was working the animal with opeu sores upon it. He was . poken to by the police, and recommended not to work the horse, and so tar as the police knew he had immediately ceased working it.—Pined s*.
