The amount of enstoma revenue recslved to-day *n goods cleared for consumption was £BSl2s7d. Messrs Dalgety and Company have received the following cablegram from their bead office, dated London, 17th October:—" Brisk demand for batter; prime factory telling at 120s per cwt." The directors of the Mutual Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) have declared a dividend at the rate of 6 per cent, per annual for the year ended 30th September, also a bonus of 10 per cent, on the commission earned by shareholders. MEETING OP Cr'eDITORS. An adjourned meeting in the estate of Charles Braid, tobacconist, was held yesterday afternoon at the office of the assignee. The assignee stated that the assets bad been reateed, with the result that the. total amount to be divided among the unsecured creditors would be about £10, which , would pay a little over Is in the pound; Several . ■unexpected claims had been made, and the assets did not realise what was expected. The amount • paid by bankrupt in interest was vary heavy—in one case amounting to 90 per cent, per annum on a small loan, and in another case to 110 per cent. per arnram. After an irregular discussion the meeting closed without any resolution being carried.
