THE DIRECT STEAMERS.
The Gothic, from London, via way ports, arrived at Wellington^ at 5 o'clock on Sunday night. Passengers: For Lyttelton—Misses Pitman, Harrison, Orr, and Jacobs, Mesdames Pitman .and Patterson, Messrs F. C. Coates, E. Greenwood, Masteis Land and C. Pitman; steerage—Mesdames Davidson, Marriott, Braithwaite (and infant), Messrs Ham, Badgers. For Port Chalmers — Misses Rix and Hum, Mesdames 'Fitchett and Fox, Messrs E. M. Hallenstein, C. Kdwards, C. J. Fox, Master Fitchett; steerage— Miss Fyfe, Mesdames Anderson (and child), Brinns (and 3 children), Annison,. Messrs. A. Anderson, R. Fisher, A. M'Dooald, E. Andrews, T. Annison, G. Annisoa, and W. Murray. During the voyage Mr Eben Roberts, a saloon passenger, who was making the round ,trip for the benefit of his health, died of apoplexy and was buried at sea: Otherwise the passage was uneventful. The only change in the vessel's officers is that Dr Evans, late of the Teutonic, is now medical officer. . The Gothic's passengers for the Bluff are Messrs M'Farlane and Mitchell, and for Oamaru Mrs Acton:
