Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.
Adelaide, July 27, Of the seven members of the Northern Territory Commission three dissented from the recommendation to establish a State experimental farm for ,the growth "of tropical produce with a view to the introduction of coloured labour, on the ground that it is imperative' that; Australia should be. kept free from sareile races, racial antagonism, and mixed blood, necessarily , consequent on an introduction of coloured pec-pie. Such labour is really not cheaper, and where it has been tried—as in Qaeensland—the nortality amongst ■ the colourbreds has been enormou«, while it leads to the decimation of the islands. Two others dissented on the ground of expense, a3 the Chinese lad already demonstrated that the Territory was suited to tropical cultivation.
