Mr W, H.Long (0.) was elected unopposed for West Derby (Liverpool). : Mr Giles (C.) defeated the Hon. Mr Brand (L.) for Wisbech Division of Cambridgeshire by 223. *
Mr Greeton (C.) has been elected for Derby South. At the last election Mr H. E. Broad (b.) was returned unopposed. Mr Jones (L.) was elected for Swansea, replacing Mr W. Williams (L.). Mr Milward (C.) for Sfcratford-on-Avon, replacing Admiral Freeman-Mitford (C). Colonel Biundell (C ) for lace, defeating Mr Samuel Woods (Labour).
General John W. Laurie (C,) was returned unopposed for Pembroke and Haverford Mr Hopktnsou (L.U.) for North Wilts. The polling for Newcastle was:—C. F. Haraond (C, who sat in the test Parliament) 12,883,- Cruddas (C.) 12,170. The rejected were the Eight Hon. John Moriey (ex-Irish Secretary), who polled 11,862, Mr James Craig (L.) 11,155, Mr Hammil 2302. The representation o£ Newcastie is now completely in the bands of the Conservatives. ' Wnere the Liberals have been re-elected their majorities have been immensely reduced. Heavy majorities were polled against the Labour candidates.
Sir W. V. Harcourt has declared that after the bursting of the storm he had decided not to reiire from politics but to remain and fight for the old cause.

Bowles (0.) for Enfield Diviaion of Middlesex; Mr W. Abraham (L.) for Bhondda ValW. Glamorganshire: Mr W. Abraham (AntiParnellite) for h'orth-east Cork.
The Tories gain the Wooflbridge seat, South-east Suffolk, foe which Mr Pretiyman is returned, replacing Mr K. L. Everett (L ). July 18. Mr Edwards (C.) has been elected for Eythe.
The following sitting members have been re-elected :—A. Spicer (L ), Monmouth District; J. S. Will (L.), Montrose District; Sir H. Campbell-Baijneiman (L.), Stirling District; Baron do.Worms (0.), East Toxteth Liverpool; Hon. P. H. Stanhope (L.), Barnley.
The Unionists gain Middleman, General T. Fielden (0.) -beating Mr C. H. HopwoodCardiff, Mr li' Lean (C.) beating Sir E. J. Raid (L.). Exchange, Liverpool; Mr J. C. Bm'ghatn (C.); Eccles, Lancashire: Mr O. L Clare (C.).-
Sir J. Stirling Waxwall's (0.) majority over Sir Caarles Cameron (L ) for College, Glasgow, was 1145.
Slight rioting took place at the Newcastle election, and the property of Tories 'arid Unionists was wrecked. At ths declaration of the poll at Newcastle-OE-Tyne, Mr Horley adtaitted the feiraess and courtesy of his oppoEeats during the contest. < ' . .
