At the opening sales at Sydney of new season's teas business was somewhat restricted owine to higher.values (compared with last year) hem" demanded by the vendors. -,vho had to purchase in a dearer market. In Sydney 27,000 packages were cleared, and in Melbourne 28,000. Good medium teas-were in request, but the low and finer grades wero neglected. The average results so far will barely realise vendors' costs.
