DUNEDIN JOCKEY* CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the.Dunedin Jockey Club, held last night, -was attended by Messrs J. Stephensbn: (in the chair),'P. Miller, J. Fleming; W'":H.; Taggart,: J. C. Shoi;t, F. Heenari, and-H. Gourley. .'..". ..",','. ,'
Statutory declarations were received from several persons making application for dividends on Goodwood, the winner of the Consolation Handicap at the May meetiag, the appli-> cants' stating that.they had destroyed their tptalisator tickets. There were 10 claims for sis unclaimed dividends. It was resolved that the amount of unclaimed dividends in hand be divided pro rota among the persons claiming the same, subject to their all signing an agreement to'that effect. '...', An application .was received from. the Otago Hunt Club asking for the club's subscription towards their expenses.—-It was resolved that the usual donation oE £50 be given, to the club. 1 It was decided that the Hunt Club meeting be held on Saturday, September 7, and that the programme* be referred'to the Programme Committee, ' with powar to issue, the same, the stakes not to exceed £335. • ■ '
A letter was read from the National Coursing Club asking the D.J.C. on what terms they would let .them ,the grounds, and stating that they would take over the entire management of the coursing.—lfc was resolved that the matter be referred to the Plumptoh Committee to report. ' ■•; '
The Otago honnds meet to-morrow afteraoon at Halfway Bush, the rendezvous as usual being at Mr Kedzlie's. No postponement will be made this week unices the weather is extremely boisterous.
