On? Ontram correspondent writes t-r-A sad fatal accident happened on Saturday, about 4 p.m., to John Snow, a boy between 9 and 10 years of age, son of Mr William Snow, of Outram. A man named Hugh Johnston was driving gravel for the road from the gravel pit at West Taieri bridge. The bay, who had gone to the pit, was on the dray, and the man in charge was walking alongside mse horses. Jnsfc as they were passing Mr Snow's house the boy fell off, and the dray passed over him abbot the shoulders. Death was instantaneous. The sid Resident hes cast a gloom over the township, and much sympathy is f-elt for the parents. An inquest on the body was held yesterday, when a verdict of "Accidental death^ was returned, the jury adding that no blame was attachable to anyone.
