ROSLYN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A special adjourned, meeting of the Roslyn Borough Council, held last evening,'was attended by the Mayor (Mr L. Kemhitzj and Councillors Begg, Scott, Drew, Wedderspoon, Watson, Wilson, Liddell, Fraser, Sutherland, and Sim. Aitkin's request to have gum trees on Brobkes's road remaved be referred to the inspector to report; that with reference to the petition of .Messrs Sonntag and others re road between Dalzelle's and Wales's Brockville, leading to East Taieri, any work that may bo decided on be deferred until Ss nSfv } hAt tenders be invited for the supply of 250 yds of maintenance metal ; that the inspector has ■ been ■ inßtructpd to erect a guardrail, if necessary, opposite Mrs Fisher's property on the Halfway Bush road: to oinrier the newly-formed path in the High School recN.irv ground; and, to screen au;l repair the Town Bslt paths at the end of City road. The Mayor explained that the revenue had come in more slowly recenllv tnan had been the case for many years, but he had^no doubt within a month or so financial matters would resume their normal condition.
