THE DIRECT STEAMERS.

The Gothic sailed from Capetown for Wellington, iVia Hobart on the afternoon of the 15th inst. She is due at Wellington on the Bth pro*.

Napier discharged a quantity of cases of cheese at the George street pier yesterday forenoon. , -

The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's ship Canterbury has now on board 2161 bales wool, 6 do basils, i do horns, and 10 tons of spelter. There is also a quantity of wool in the shed for shipment. Tl>e Naw Zealand Company's barque Waimea is getting on well with her loading for London, having now on board 3288 bales w001,i!2 do sheepskins, 65 do rabbitsldns, 1 do basils, and 6 casks zinc ashes.
