LAWN TENNIS TOURNEY.
The followiug games have been played sinco Saturday:— Men's Singles Handicap. R. Koch (owe 40) beat G. Branson (receive J 15), 9—4. . A. H. Ledger (receive 115) beat A. Hogg (owe 15-1.,10-S. Men's Doublks Handicap. C. F. Salmond aud A. H. Adams (owe 15) beat H. G. Hoddinott and E. li. Boddiugton (owe i 15), 9-7, At a meeting of the committee of the Hyde Railway Turf and Athletic Club, held on Stturday,, encouraging reports} were received from thoso collecting subscriptions, and it was announced that a number of special prizes had less, promised hy Dunedin nnd local gentlemen. The following wero appointed officers in conneotiou with the sport.. :—Suporinteudet-J, Mr J.. J. Ramsay; prudent, ]) r Shields; vice-piesidents—Messrs John Beatty, J. M. Sutherland, A. L-wis, M. Prendergast jno., P. Kenny, aud Nicholas Moloney; haudicsippers—Joe Scott, C. Laverty, aud Henry Bruhas; starter, Thomas Prendergast; hon. treasurer, Mr Robert W. Trotter; secretary, Mr James Jackson. Tho next meeting will ba held on Saturday next. Notuinaticns tor the Autumn meeting of ths Ncrlh Otago J.C. close with the secretary this evening.
