THE CIRCUS,

I Messrs Fitzgeralds' circus and menagerie was largely patronised last night, nearly all the available sitting space being occupied. The programme, which Was in a great measure new, was quite as good as the first one, and wao carried out with complete success. The performance in the ring commenced with a number of evolutions on horseback by eight members of tha company. The subsequent menage aqt by Mdlle. Connors met with marked approval, and the clever performance of Masters Collier and Cardello on their ponies was rewarded tt'ith applause. Miss Videllii and Mr King were successful in their departments; and the Rezzios were neat and graceful on tho double trapeze ,act. The introduction by, Mr D: Fitzgerald of his trained horses was quite a feature of the evening. A duplicate ladder act was given by a number of young ladies, assisted by Air J. Graham, and Mr Dash wood and tho Rczzios showed themselvts to be clever gymnasts on the horizontal bars. Mr King gave a hurdle and bar act, and with Misa M. Connors did some daring bare-back riding, introducing several difficult feats. Miss N. Lyndhurst was quite at home in her clever performance on the nigh wire. Miss Sutton gave a graceful performance on the aerial trapeze, and the Rezzios in their acrobatic act showed groat nerve and skill. Towards the end of the programme the petforming lions were brought into the ring under the charge of Captain Graham, and the closing item was an equestrian drama and steeplechase. The same programme will be repeated this evening.
