THE ROYAL COMIC OPERA COMPANY.

The third production of the delightful opera, "Ma Mia Rosetts," by tlie Royal Comic Opera Company at the Prlncegg' Theatre last evening attracted a lar^e audienra. The work ,was gone through with every success. The acfing was admirable, the singing was all that could be desired, v/hile the costume* and utage equipments generally constituted a theme of admiration. This evening the production ef the comic flpera "Paul Jones" will doubtleus be. witnessed Uv a full house. "Paul Jones" has proved one of tue most successful comic operas ever staged in Aim--tralia. It was first produced in the Opera House, Melbourne, some thrpo years ago under the personal direction of Miss Nellie Stewart. It immediately created a sensation, and the season, from a managerial point of view, was » phenomenally prosperous one. The return to England of Miss Nellie Stewart, and the difficulties of securing a competent cast, prevented.its revival until quite recently, wheu it was again staged with all its old popularity at the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, and the Lyceum, Sydney. Tho excellence of the company by which the opera will be produced this evening is beyond question. A special feature will be the appearance' of Miss Nellie Stewart in one of her moat charming characters. Mr Wallace Brownlow will assume the title r6le, and the cast will also include Miss 'Mariefcta Nash, as Chopinette(»vitha vivacious song that has rarely missed a double encore); Mr Georgu Lauri^ as Bouillabaisse (a fisher and smuggler); Mr William Rosevear, as his assistant Petit-PieYre; Mr Howard Vernon, as Don Trecadero; Mr Joseph Tapl«y, an Ruffino ; 'Mr' Arthur Liseant, as Bicoquet; Mr Sydney Deane (his first appearance taw season), as Kit Kestrel; and Miss May Pollard, «c Malaguena. Numerous ballets are introduced into every act, and the mounting and dresses are of the most gorgeous description. The performance will commence punctually at a quarter to 8.
