WAITAHUNA SHOW.

OChe fourteenth annual show of the Waitahuua Farmers' Club, held at Waitahuna yesterday, was unusually well attended, and the weather wss all that could be desired. Tho show on the whole compared very favourably with any previous ona held in the district. There wero altogether 170 entries, the different sections being represented as follow,?: —Cattle 37, shaep 26, horses 61, dairy produce 33, poultry 11] swine 2. Among the cattle some very fair Ayrshires were shown ; also, t, few good cross'areds. The sheep, taking them all round, were a presontable lot, and the display of horses vras much better than ia usually teea in tho district. As regards the dairy produce, . the entries were not co numerous as at lant i show, but the quality of tb.a exhibits was ' equally as good. In tha w<iy of agricultural 1 implements t!:ere wers exhibited reapers and 1 binders of UlO Buckeye, Walter A. Wood, ' Adrsanoo, M'Oormick, a.nd Massey - Harris ; kinds ; also a couple of hillside ploughs by the Massey-Harria Company, ar.d a horse hay rakp, . a cyclone mower, a cattle dehorner, and a knife i grinder, all of Walter A. Wood's manufacture. . Mr J. Scott exhibitfid samples of flax—viz., the fiV.x in its green state, in a stiite prepared for dros3iDg, and in a dressed state, He also '■ showed some iinesed from the flax. The Blue ! Spur Band wiss in ?.ttendance at ths show, and i played a number of selections at intervals.
