THE OPERA.
Tha second performance of the opera "Ma Mis Rosette" was given by Messrs Williamson End Musgrove's Eoyal Comic Opera Company iv the Princess Theatre last avening. The success of the openina night was repeated. There was a capital house, and a more appreciative audienca could uot be deßited. The stage appointments Ere in every respect adequate, though the piece is one that demands a great deal in the way ot' Eceuery and costumes. As has been mentioned, the music is rermirkably bright and taking, aud throughout the performance proved fascinating, 'i'ha acting during the dream sceno3 is powerfully dramatic. Miss Nellie Stewart in tie title rule both played and sang charmingly, and Mr Browulow as Henri IV won golden opinions, and the former favourite comedian, Mi' Gtorpe L^uri, is evidently destined to increase still his great popularity. Mr Howard Vernon was also singled out for marked approbation in a performance in which every part was well sustained.
"Ma Mie Rosette " will be produced for the last time this evening, and judging from the success which has atcemiei it thus far, it should be witnessed by a crowded house and meet with unqualified approbation.
